A rotary separator is an industrial device that uses centrifugal force to separate gas and liquid or solid and liquid. It is widely used in oilfield oil extraction, coal powder preparation, and industrial dust removal. Its core structure includes a rotating container, a drive system (such as a motor gear or belt drive), and a separation component (such as a filter screen or centrifugal impeller). Taking oilfield applications as an example, the rotary separator separates free gas from well fluids through high-speed rotation (usually 500-1500 rpm), with a separation efficiency of over 90%. Its advantages include its adaptability to high gas content (≤30%) conditions, compact structure, and convenient maintenance. Typical models, such as the TVEM series from Tianjin Baicheng Oilfield Oil Extraction Equipment Manufacturing Co., Ltd., use tungsten carbide radial bearings, corrosion-resistant induction wheels, and high-strength shafts (such as Inconel 718 alloy) to ensure stable operation in high-pressure and high-temperature environments. In addition, some models also integrate dynamic balancing technology to reduce vibration through precise calibration and extend the service life of the equipment. In the field of coal powder preparation, the rotary separator controls the fineness of the coal powder (e.g., R90≤12%) by adjusting the rotational speed (500-1200 rpm) to meet different process requirements.
