The 400&538 series vortex separators are gas-liquid separation equipment specifically designed for oilfield submersible electric pumps, suitable for oil wells with gas content ≤30%. Its core principle is to form a rotating vortex at the pump inlet through the synergistic action of the induction wheel, turbine, and vortex shell, separating gas and liquid due to density differences. Gas is discharged through the side openings of the upper separation wheel, while liquid enters the pump through the central flow passage. This series of separators uses cemented carbide bearings, wear-resistant spraying technology, and sand-resistant structural design to ensure stable operation in sand-containing media. A typical model is the VGS 400~538 from Tianjin Baili Yitong Electric Pump Co., Ltd., with a separation efficiency as high as 90%, and supports customized corrosion protection (such as 316L stainless steel) to adapt to acidic or high-salt environments. In addition, the vortex separator has a simple structure and low maintenance costs, and compared to rotary separators, it can reduce energy consumption by 10%-15% under the same operating conditions.
